Truck & Trailer Parts Coordinator

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Parts Advisor to join our team. The Parts Advisor will be responsible for assisting customers and service technicians in selecting and ordering automotive parts and accessories. This role requires strong customer service skills, knowledge of automotive parts, attention to detail, and the ability to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment of parts orders.


JOB DUTIES

  • Assist retail customers and service technicians with parts inquiries, orders, and sales.
  • Provide accurate and timely information regarding parts availability, pricing, and delivery times.
  • Process parts orders and ensure they are correctly sourced, received, and distributed on time.
  • Lead all store operations, including inventory control, purchasing, merchandising, and sales.
  • Maintain an organized and efficient parts department, including stocking, shelving, and inventory management.
  • Utilize dealership management software and manufacturer systems to track parts orders, inventory levels, and customer transactions.
  • Handle customer concerns and complaints related to parts and provide appropriate solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate closely with Service Technicians and the Service Department to identify and order the correct parts for vehicle repairs and maintenance.
  • Assist with parts returns, warranty claims, exchanges, and core returns as required.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized parts department and work area.
  • Creating the work order for the services with the correct parts and story lines.


Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; additional automotive parts training or certification is an asset.
  • Previous experience as an Automotive Parts Advisor, Parts Counterperson, or in a similar dealership role is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive parts, accessories, and vehicle systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Parts, Service, Sales, and other dealership departments.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when identifying and ordering parts.
  • Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record.
  • A positive, professional, and customer-focused attitude.
  • Ability to wear many hats in the operation.
